This panel co-ordinates the restoration of data from a backup to a new/empty version of the application.
This facility should be used following a system crash only.
You may restore data records to a new/empty version of the application only. If the application contains records, the restore layout will be inaccessible.
Running from the top to the bottom of this panel, left to right:

Click this button to import data from a backup of the application to a new/empty version.
To facilitate this:
- install, and open a new version of the application.
- N.B. This will overwrite the installed version. So, ensure that you have backed up the current version before installing the new copy.
- navigate to the >> dashboard >> restore layout.
- click the button labelled restore.
- Select your restore source.
If you selected the backup the application option on the settings panel:
Select the source data file from the source directory; it will have the prefix little acorns, be followed by date and time stamps (in the format DDMMYYYY and HHMMSS), and, finally, the suffix .fmpur.
For example, a backup file created on 1 January 2030 at nine o’clock in the morning will be labelled:
Little Acorns_01012030_090000.fmpur
If you selected the backup your records only option on the settings panel:
select the source data folder from the source directory; it will have the prefix little acorns, and be followed by date and time stamps (in the format DDMMYYYY and HHMMSS).
For example, a backup folder created on 1 January 2030 at nine o’clock in the morning will be labelled:
Little Acorns_01012030_090000
vi. click the button labelled OK.
The application will import data from the backup of the application to the new version.
