The application is made up of programme files and records.
This panel facilitates the backup of the principal application file (that includes your records) or your records only.
You may select which form of backup you prefer using the backup type toggle button on the settings panel.
Running from the top to the bottom of this layout, left to right:
backup (button)
The application consists of programme files, and a principal file that contains all of the records that you create.
If you selected the backup the application option on the settings panel:
Click this button to save a copy of the principal file.
The file will have the prefix little acorns, be followed by date and time stamps (in the format DDMMYYYY and HHMMSS), and, finally, the suffix .fmpur.
So, for example, a backup file created on 1 January 2030 at nine o’clock in the morning will be labelled:
Little Acorns_01012030_090000.fmpur
If you selected the backup your records only option on the settings panel:
Click this button to save your records only to a folder containing a series of .tab files named after the heading records they contain.
The folder will have the prefix little acorns, and be followed by date and time stamps (in the format DDMMYYYY and HHMMSS).
So, for example, a backup folder created on 1 January 2030 at nine o’clock in the morning will be labelled:
Little Acorns_01012030_090000
It will contain the following .tab files:
Beat.tab
Campaign.tab
Campaign_Company.tab
Campaign_Contact.tab
Category.tab
Chapter.tab
Character.tab
Company.tab
Contact.tab
Label.tab
Language.tab
Note.tab
Project.tab
Statistics.tab
Value.tab
It is recommended that backups be copied to an external storage device (for example, your flash drive) on a regular basis.
