This layout lists the Beat records that you have added to the current Project.
Running from the top to the bottom of this layout, left to right:
navigation bar (top)
The tabs at the top of this layout facilitate navigation to the Dashboard Summary layout, and the Categories, Projects, and Notes list layouts.
N.B. The Notes tab will appear only after you have added a note to the application.

Click this button to view the online help facility for the application.
exit
Click this button to close the application.
navigation bar (middle)
The tabs in the middle of this layout facilitate navigation to the Details, Notes, Chapters, Characters, and Campaigns lists for the current Project.
show all
Click this button to view every Beat listed under the current Project.
Activating this button will clear the search string field.
After activation, the button will be replaced by the notification showing all.

The field preceded by a magnifying glass icon, containing the placeholder text enter search string here, facilitates a search across all Beat fields listed under the current Project.
Enter text here to return matching Beats records on a find-as-you-type basis.
Fields that contain your search string will be highlighted.
calendar (icon)
Click this button to enter a record created/modified date in the search string field.
After you click this button, a drop-down calendar will appear below the icon.
Select a date from this calendar to find records created/modified on that date.
X (icon)
Click this button to clear the search string field, and view every Beat listed under the current Project.
tagged
Tags enable you to isolate individual records in the current list.
Click this toggle button to view records that you have tagged.
Click it again to view records that you have not tagged.
record found bar
The record found bar shows the records found count out of the total number of records available under the current heading.
new
Click this button to create a new Beat for the current Project.

Click this toggle button to view the Beat field only.
Click it again to view every field for each Beat.
sort
Click this button to reset the default order of the Beats for the current Project.
copy
Click this button to copy details of the current Project’s Beats and their Notes to the clipboard.
tag
Tags enable you to isolate individual records in the current list.
Click this toggle button to tag every record currently listed.
Click it again to remove tags from every record currently listed.
convert
Click this button to convert Beats for the current Project into Chapters for the current Project, and transfer their Notes to the new Chapters.
dustbin (icon)
Click this button to delete every record listed, and all accompanying Notes.
This process is irreversible.
field labels
Click the label above a field to sort records by that field in alphanumeric order.
Click the label again to sort records by that field in reverse alphanumeric order.
To remove the temporary sort on a field, hold down the shift key and click the relevant field label.

Click the button with the arrow on it to view full details for that record.
cursor
Position your cursor over a text field to view the full contents of that field as a pop-up hint.
tagged
Tags enable you to isolate individual records in the current list.
Click this toggle button to tag the current record.
Click it again to remove the tag from the current record.
convert
Click this button to convert the current Beat for the current Project into a Chapter for the current Project, and transfer its Notes to the new Chapter.
dustbin (icon)
Click this button to delete the current Beat, and all accompanying Notes.
This process is irreversible.
